Nominations:

1. Classic guitar and lute (solo).
2. Electronic guitar and acoustic guitar (solo).
3. Flamenco guitar (solo and ensembles).
4. Bass Guitar - solo (electronic and acoustic).
5. Guitar's ensembles, ensembles guitar with other musical instruments.
6. Performance of own compositions, remakes and improvisations for guitar.
7. Original forms of musical performance.
8. Competition of the composers.
9. The guitar makers' competition.


Condition of participation

1. The participants will be to pay in cash at competition office:
45 Euro for "A" group.
60 Euro for "B" group.
45 Euro for each person of 2 - 3 players ensemble.
35 Euro for each person of 4 and more players ensemble.
45 Euro for makers of Hand Made Guitar nomination.
20 Euro for each additional guitar- participant on a special exhibition-sale.

Age groups:

"A" group
" 1. till 8 years age inclusive;
" 2. from 9 till 11 years age inclusive;
" 3. from 12 till 14 years age inclusive;
" 4. from 15 till 17 years age inclusive.

" from 18 years age (without limitation).

Programs of nominations

1. Classic guitar and lute (solo)

I TOUR - guitar ("A" group)
1. J.S. Bach - part of suite, partit or sonate (arrangement for guitar) or another
piece ancient music with polyphonic elements.
2. Guitars piece, in Vienna's classic school style (for example: F. Sor,
M.Giuliani, D. Aguado, etc.)
General time of performance limited by 15 minutes.

I TOUR - guitar ("B" group)
1. J.S. Bach - one or two parts of suite, partit or sonate (arrangement for guitar).
2. Guitars piece, in Vienna's classic school style (F. Sor, M. Giuliani, D. Aguado, etc.)
General time of performance limited by 15 minutes.

I TOUR - Lute ( for "A" and "B" group)

1. J.S. Bach - one or two parts of suite, partit or sonate (original or arrangement for lute).

II TOUR - guitar ( for "A" and "B" group)


1. Composition for guitar, written by modern composer (after 1950) of participant's country.
2. Popular or folk music, based on participant's country music or other country.
For example: russian music style, country style, traditional spain style, gypsy style, flamenco, and another.
3. Freely chosen composition for guitar.
General time of performance limited by 15 minutes.

II TOUR - Lute ( for "A" and "B" group)
1. Freely chosen program.

General time of performance limited by 15 minutes.

III TOUR - guitar (for"B" group only)

1. Freely chosen program.
General time of performance limited by 15 minutes.


The comments:
" All compositions on classic guitar and lute are playing by heart without accompaniment.
" To include own compositions and remakes it is authorized.
" Pieces cannot repeat in different tours.


2.Electronic guitar and acoustic guitar

I TOUR ("A" and "B" group)
1. Original composition, remake or improvisation on classic music theme based.
2. Freely chosen composition for guitar.

General time of performance limited by 10 minutes.

II TOUR ("A" and "B" group)

1. Jazz composition for guitar.
2. Popular or folk music based on participant's country music or other country.
For example: russian music style, country style, traditional spain style, gypsy style, flamenco, samba and another.
3. Freely chosen composition for guitar.
General time of performance limited by 15 minutes.

3.Flamenco guitar (solo and ensembles)

I TOUR ("A" and "B" group)
1. BULERIAS in traditional flamenco style.
2. Freely chosen composition in flamenco style.

General time of performance limited by 10 minutes.

II tour ("A" AND "B" GROUP)

2. Freely chosen program in traditional or modern flamenco style.

General time of performance limited by 10 minutes.


4.Bass Guitar (electronic and acoustic)

I TOUR ("A" and "B" group)

1. Original composition, arrangement or improvisation on classic music theme based.
2. The original composition for Bass Guitar by composer of participant's country, or own composition for Bass Guitar.

General time of performance limited by 10 minutes.

II TOUR ("A" and "B" group)

1. JAZZ composition for Bass Guitar.
3. Freely chosen composition for Bass Guitar.
General time of performance limited by 10 minutes.

The comments:
" Music compositions by acoustic guitar, electro guitar, bass-guitar are playing by heart. The organizers provides amplifier and microphone.
" Solo playing with audio-soundtrack (-1) is admitting on CD and MD.
" Pieces cannot repeat in different tours.


5. Guitar's ensembles, ensembles of the guitar and other musical instruments.

I TOUR ("A" and "B" group)

1. Original composition, remake or improvisation on classic music theme based.
2. Popular or folk music based on participant's country music or other country.
For example: russian music style, country style, traditional spain style, gypsy style, flamenco, samba and another.
3. Original composition or remake by modern composer of participant's country or own composition by the ensemble participants.

General time of performance limited by 15 minutes.

II TOUR ("A" and "B" group)

1. Freely chosen program.
General time of performance limited by 20 minutes.

The comment:
" Ensembles of "A" group can include one player from "B"group.
" Pieces cannot repeat in different tours.


6. Performance of own compositions, remakes and improvisations for guitar

I TOUR.
1. The author's composition on classic music theme based.
2. The author's composition on jazz music theme based.
3. The author's composition on theme based of participant's country music or own composition.
General time of performance limited by 15 minutes.

II TOUR

1. The improvisation on classic musical theme.
2. The improvisation on jazz musical theme
3. The improvisation on one from themes: classical, country, flamenco, latino-jazz.
General time of performance limited by 15 minutes.

The comment:
" Music themes for improvisation are giving to guitarist for choice before the start of II tour.

7. The exclusive forms of performance.

General time of performance limited by 10 minutes. One round only.

For the guitarists-soloists and ensembles. May be performance of any exclusive genre of guitar music, including own composition. And also any exclusive forms of a combination guitar with singing, choreography, variety show, slide support etc.


8. Competition of the compothers.

General time of performance limited by 10 minutes. One round only.

The original composition of any genre for a guitar or lute - piece, variations, large form, ensemble. Playing by the author or other musician.

ATTENTION: the edited musical text (two copy) to hand over in organizing committee is necessary.
The accompaniment should also be written in the musical text.

9. The guitar makers' competition.

Conditions:
1. In the competition take part classical guitars only (6 plastic strings). Length of strings - 650mm.
2. There is no limitation of quantity of guitars for maker that would like take part in competition.
3. The label of the maker should be covered.

Process of competitive listening:
1. The competition have two tours.
2. Professional guitarist on each guitar has performance in the closed kind of two musical fragments.
3. The JURY give two estimations: power and timbre of guitar sound.

Exhibition for sale:

1. The Hand Made Guitar exhibition and sale is organized for the participants of competition and guitar-teachers from different cities of Russia. They will take part in session of International Guitar Academy, and to observe of the competition participants performance.
2. Each maker-participant of competition can expose the instruments for sale only (quantity is not limited).

Prizes.

For Guitar Players:

1. Grand prix
2. First place - the money premium.
3. Second place - the money premium or present.
4. Third place - the money premium or present.
5. Fourth and fifth place - diploma.
6. For the best own composition - diploma.
7. Special prizes.


For Guitar Makers:

1. First place - the money premium.
2. Second place - the money premium or present.
3. Third place - the money premium or present.
4. From fourth till the tenth place - diploma.
5. Special prizes.
